Jerry's BBQ & Grill
As mentioned in my earlier entry, i'm going for an interview at CPG firm. The interview went all right, wasn't too bad and wasn't too fantastic.
They posed some situation questions for me and i answered pretty badly, sounded stupid and seems like what i've studied was flushed down the toilet when i shit everytime.
So to reward myself for attending my life 2nd interview, Fion and me went to Jerry's BBQ & Grill located at Jalan Kayu. There is 2 more outlets located at Club Street and Tanglin Shopping Centre.
It was my first visit there, it has outdoor and indoor and we took the latter. The interior consists of airplanes poster and pictures hanging on the wall. The menu definitely are able sastify those who like wide varieties.
There is a special set diner from Monday - Thursday. It consists of Soup of the Day, Main Course and Dessert. The set dinner has 3 different pricings depending on the main course you gonna order. We took the $20.95 per set and I had Sausage Cervelat while Fion had Seafood Platter!

Interview Nightmare
Recieved a call from CPG firm on Thursday and was arranged for an interview this upcomnig Tuesday.
Its for the position of Technical Executive, doing related work to my diploma. Hopefully i won't "crash" the interview like my previous.
My life's FIRST interview was calamitous! It was not my day at all. That morning was a rush as i woke up an hour late than my calculated time!
As i was taking the lift down to take the cab, i realised i forgot to take that slip of paper which i wrote the location of the company. I took a quick glimpse at the road and spotted a number of cabs. Quickly, i went back to take that paper and came down to wait for my cab.
PREDICTABLY, THERE WAS NOT A SINGLE CAB, I TELL YOU! WHERE HAD ALL THE CABS I SAW JUST A MINUTE AGO?! ALL MELTED UNDER THE SUN IS IT !
Whenever i'm in a rush, there is not a single cab in sight, when i don't need a cab right, its like everywhere hounding me!
Finally got a cab, it was infuriating! Traffic was slow, driver was slow and i ended up arriving late for the interview.
During the interview:
Interviewer: So can i have a look at your Diploma Certificate?
Me: I just graduated and i have yet to receive it . I only have my results transcripts with me.
Interviewer: Oh, but your resume (pointing out to me) showed that you had graduated in the year 2005.
Me: OPPS! I keyed wrongly. Sorry!
So embarrasing can!
Everything just went downhill after that. Clearly i wasn't well prepared for the questions throwing at me. Didn't pinned much hope to be shortlisted for the 2nd round of interview.
What worst, it started to rain when i was travelling home and i reached home drenched to toe!

Love & Hatred for BBQ wings
I've washed my hands umpteen times and it still reeks of the BBQ chicken wings i had earlier on for supper.
Luckily i have mastered the skill of using 2 fingers to feed myself to chicken wings. If its Angel, her 10 fingers would be stain by that obstinate odour. THAT GIRL literally uses both of her hands (10 TEN fingers) to eat chicken wings! I don't understand how she managed to do that EVERY SINGLE TIME, one word for her BRAVO !
Next skill i wanna learn, that is to eat chicken wings without using HANDS.

Frog at Geylang
Sometime ago, Tiong, Michelle and me headed down to Geylang for Frog Leg Porridge. It was located at Lorong 3, G7 !
The frog leg porridge are cheap and good ok! Buy 2 get 1 Free, Buy 3 get 2 Free, Buy 4 get 3 free and it goes on (If your primary school maths is still intact in your mind, you should know the pattern) !
We ordered 3 frog legs with an additional of 2 FREE frog legs (Angel is so gian peng and when she tan tio 2 free frogs, she cried for joy! HAHA) We specifically told the waitress we wanted it to be a little spicy only, but ended up Angel and me was sweating like shit, tongue hanging out like dog. Haha. It was real spicy! Maybe Angel and me got low spicy tolerance. Angel is cock, she finished her drink and shamelessly KOP michelle and my drink! ANGRY!
But our HERO, Michelle feels that it was NOT spicy at all . OH! MY HERO!

My life in Poly
I cleared all my modules and offcially a graduate with Diploma in Intelligent Building Technology! (Though it took me 4 LONG years!!!)

I didn't believe i could make it this far and even to the extend of completing my diploma.
I still remembered when i first came to Temasek Polytechnic, i was really reluctant. I'm a shy person by nature (DON'T LAUGH, IT'S TRUE), i don't usually see myself initiating a conversation with anyone, anyhow. I feared i couldn't make any friends and my 3 years in polytechnic would be ONE HELLA NIGHTMARE.
On the 1st day, Tiong and me even lost our way! We didn't attend the orientation camp and didn't know where the lecture halls were, who our classmates were and even where we were!
I'm one of the only few in my class who didn't attend the camp, and it seems like those classmates of mine who went for the camp, mingled quite well together. Needless to say, i felt kinda left out. The feeling was terrible i tell you.
For the first few days, it was real terrible, i don't even feel like attending school AT ALL! But as the days passes, i made some really good friends and a BAD influence, RACHEL. HAHA.
For the 1st 2 year in poly, i'm really messing up my studies. Failing all my modules, persistent in not attending lectures and even got debarred. I didn't know what i was doing in school and i lose my purpose in school.
Until one semester, i was left with only chance to continue my studies in poly. I had flung numerous amount of modules, and even failing the modules not only once, twice but thrice! I felt like CRAP!
There was this particular module, which i had flung it in 3 semesters, even till the 3rd semester, i flung the main paper. I was only given one LAST chance, supplementary paper. If i don't make it then THATS IT! I'll be kick out of the school, that was the last thing i want to see it happening.
Its really a waste of my time and draining my parent financially if i kept failing or even worst, got kicked out of school after 3 semester without a DIPLOMA. I dread at the thought of it and guilt was piling up whenever i think of my parents and their moneyspent waste on me!
Not wanting to disappoint my parents futher and let them down, i realised it is time i should be studying and not stop playing a fool. I studied and eventually get what i wanted, a PASS!
From then on, i took my studies more seriously. Though i don't get fantastic results but i managed to stop failing modules. I'm happy!
I'm grateful and thankful to all my schoolmates who had helped me along the way and pushing me to study. Thanks for you guys relentless help when i needed it.

Equinox
Had my birthday dinner with Fion at Equinox, Swissotel The Stamford. Standing high at 70 storeys, the night view of the buildings and skyscrapers is fabulous.
We were greeted by the high ceiling and magnificent interior design when we stepped into the restuarant.
The only word to describe my feeling is only WOW!

Had Pan-Seared Foie Gras with White Sesame Seeds (Banana Merah Salsa, Grilled Brioche Toast ) as our appetizer.
It was my first time having Foie Gras and all i had to say is another WOW. I really like it. SLURPS.
Both of us ordered their signature dishes as our main course and had Mocktails, Governor's Smile & Shirley Temple. S$15 each.
Fion had Grilled Beef Tenderloin and Braised Cheek (Potato Mousseline, Fricassee of Mushroom, Rosemary Sauce) S$46
Beef were tender and not tough, had no difficulty chewing down the beef.
And i had Pan-Fried Tiger Prawn and Scallop (Parsnip Puree, Sauteed leek, Crab Essence-Butter Sauce) S$45
The Prawn and Scallop were BIG and JUICY.
Both of us really enjoyed the food, its no wonder it is their signature dishes.
Lastly we had Sweet Temptation (Praline Chocolate Passion Mousse, Poached Rhubarb with Passion Fruit Sorbet, Dark Chocolate Gelee with Mint Foam, Ivory Raspberry Cream) as our dessert. S$32
I totally like the layout of the dessert and it taste like heaven!
Total bill added up to $201, including GST and service charges. No doubt about it, it was all worth while.
The dinner was the best i had ever had. Great Ambience, Great Food, Great View, Great Companion. :)
Left the restuarant and headed to the toilet. This was the headache part, had difficulty locating the exit and the toilet. It was a long journey to reach the toilet! Haha.
Just outside the toilet, there were 4 glass showcases of all liquors, it was really nice.
I only took 2 of it, cause there was this chinese guy behind me, i paiseh la so never finish taking all 4 of them. HAHA. Later he think i SUA GU (mountain tortoise).
The toilet is very posh and long, divided into 3 parts, the front, middle and the end.
The front part is the dressing room.
The middle part is the washing of hands. The water running out of the tap is warm! No more cold icy water for your jade hand, works especially well for me that evening as my hands were all freezing cold, very soothing.
They provided us with the choice of using tissue or towel to wipe our hands, and i choose the latter.
Bin for used towels.
And the last part, TOILET!

Had our dinner at Din Tai Fung at Paragon, Angel is obsessed with XIAO LONG BAO! She is so god-damn-in-love with it. I think Din Tai Fung must have drugged the XIAO LONG BAO with marijuana.
Eventually Angel lost her senses and pronounced XIAO LONG BAO as XIAO LING LONG. What the hell is XIAO LING LONG??!?!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think Angel is SIAO DING DONG ! Haha.
