Memories...

Rachel ! I've finally hung up the birthday present you gave me. :) I think this is one of the best present i've ever received.

Today i stood infront of the collage of photos, looking through the photos it brings back lots of fond memories for me. Thinking back on the past, made me realise everyone of us had changed so much, so much so that everything is so different now.

maybe its the time..
maybe its the environment..
maybe its just us..
that decides we will drift apart..

I miss the younger days when i'm carefree and free from worries.
I miss the days when we hang out together in a group of 8 celebrating birthdays for each other but i suppose its not quite possible anymore.

Somehow when i look at the photos with their presence, made me realise i do miss them. :)

When darkness turns to light
It ends tonight,
It ends tonight.

Just a little insight won't make this right
It's too late to fight
It ends tonight,
It ends tonight

Head Protest.

The whole of today, I've had an intermittent throbbing sharp pain at the back of my head. I think it is a sign that i have been working way too hard. Haha.

But its really disturbing, hope it is nothing serious and the pain will stop their "protest" tomorrow. If not, i might need to pay a little visit to the doctor which i haven't done in a really really long time. SIGH.

One happy news to cheer up my day though, my colleague Grace is treating us to lunch tomorrow at Jack's Place as her birthday celebration. Looking forward to it :)

Opps, its my bedtime now. Hope everyone will have an enjoyable day tomorrow!

** SOMEONE's nick has been changed due to privacy.

Put that silly conversation aside, i'm angry with the train travelling to and fro tanah merah. I've had to wait 10 minutes for a train. TEN MINUTES!

Non-peak hours if you allow 1 hour of waiting hour i don't give a flying damn, but when people (like ME) are rushing to work/school or rushing home, why should we wait 10 minutes?! Its really getting on my nerves just waiting for a train. You know, TIME IS MONEY?

Waiting TEN minutes for the train.

Just look at the time, i knock off at 530 and yet i'm only able to board the train at 553! Terrible.

Enough of the digressing, i spent my weekend pretty fulfilling.

On Friday, met up with Hazel, Guo Wei, Tommy and Stephanie at Tampines Mall, they needed to do some last minute shopping for their Bangkok trip the next day and Steph drove us down to East Coast for Ben's birthday celebration. Saw a number of old friends and did some catching up. Got to know a pretty atonishing news.

The rest of the weekend was spent with Angel and Michelle. Town on Saturday and caught Da Vinci Code, i pretty much like the movie, perhaps i haven't read the book and i found the story quite interesting.

Sunday, met the girls to go down Katong Mall to get Awfully Chocolate cake and headed down to Angel's house to have the cake and some chilling session. :)

Alright, its getting late i must get my beauty sleep. Been late for work these past few days! Oh yah, i had gotten my cheque, it was more than i expected. Shall go sleep with the cheque and bank it in tomorrow!

Break out!

Mission Impossible 3
Da Vinci Code
Poseidon
X-Men 3: The Last Stand

2 down, 2 more to go! Anyone hasn't caught Poseidon? I'm willing to be your movie companion, please ask me along! Haha.

The condition of my face is really terrible now, having break out. This is the first time i'm having such a serious break out and i'm scared silly till i wanted to see a doctor to cure it desperately. I think those acnes are having a good time starting their family on my face, giving birth one after another, residing on my face and not willing to move out, building their happiness on my sorrows!

SIGH, my life is bad.

Kill the Movie Maniac

Its exactly one month away from my Virgin Thailand Trip! :)

Oh, my shoulder is aching, i need a full body massage right now.

-

After eons of harping to cut my hair, i finally put my words into action. Had my hair cut at J Salon located at Far East level 4. The haircut was satisfactory but the price is abit steep, $35!

I'm now a happy girl with trimmed hair! :)

All the blockbuster movies are coming right after another, tagging closely behind each other. First is MI 3, now Poseidon, Da Vinci Code will be up next tomorrow and i'm most looking forward to X-Men 3: The Last Stand on 25th May!

I'm glad that i caught MI 3, it was my first time watching Mission Impossible and i think it really provides all the actions you need in an action movie.

Right now, i'm in need of a blockbuster movie jab to kill the movie-maniac in me! Hope someone nice & sweet will bring me to the cinema tomorrow. Hee!

Monday Blues

6 more hours of sleep and i'm gonna drag myself out of the bed.

Got to tolerate 5 days before the weekend comes. DREADFUL.

Love me love me
say that you love me
fool me fool me
go on and fool me
love me love me
pretend that you love me
leave me leave me

just say that you need me

So I cry and I pray for you to
Love me love me
say that you love me
leave me leave me
just say that you need me
I can't care 'bout anything but you ...

Awfully Chocolate

Was checking out websites on cake shop in the late noon, and i came across awfully chocolate webby. (www.awfullychocolate.com)

The moment i saw the thick dark chocolate on the web, my taste bud was stimulated and sent a signal to my brain saying, YOU MUST HAVE THE CAKE. I showed Angel the website and she got real enthusiastic about the cake and suggested going down. I obliged to both, Angel and my taste bud.

Headed down with Angel and Michelle to the nearest branch located to us, Katong Mall. To our disappoinment, they only sell cakes in a whole, no slices! So, we left for our dinner at Five Star Chicken Rice and only went back later for their chocolate ice cream.

Gawd, its really awfully chocolatey!

Flagged a cab down to The Cathay and caught the movie, Voice.

After “Whishing Stairs” comes “Voice”. One day, a quiet but talented singer student named Young-eon gets killed by a mysterious voice. Soon after her disappearance, her best friend, Sun-min starts to hear her voice. Frightened at first, Sun-min tries to help her friend. But she is not the only one who hears Young-eon’s voice. Cho-ah, another student who can hear the dead since her childhood, claims she also hears Young-eon’s voice… and someone else’s…

What can i say, another crappy movie.

Wanted to satisfy my crave for HEAVEN rochor douhua at selegie but it was closed! Ended up chilling at Mr. Bean, those girls are gluttons, serious! They had chips and soup, i just had my peach flavoured ice tea.

Saw 2 girls playing with travel pack monopoly, its so CUTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! The money notes were so tiny, its no bigger than my ear!

And with Mr. Bean it ended my Vesak Day! :)

Overdue Entry (1 month ago)

Angeline will be leaving for Taiwan in a week or two, and she has yet to buy her luggage. Met up with her and Mich and went round Suntec and Marina Square to scout around. Ended up doing shopping and totally threw the luggage mission aside.

So, we had Cafe Cartel for dinner, a late one around 8plus. i had Chicken & Mushroom Macaroni, took a few bites and left the rest untouched, was kinda full and perhaps it was the creamy sauce that made me turned off.

Made our way to Golden Village in hope of catching a movie to consume our boring night away. To our dismay, there were only pathetic movie slots left.

Headed down to One Fullerton's BakerzIn to chill. Jennette Aw was there too, with her back facing me. Haha. Had some lame conversations.

bel: If got 2 guys, one same height as you but damn rich, the other tall with build but he not so rich, which one you will choose?

mich: hmmm.. i think first one lor.

angel: *smsing*

bel: But the short one, damn rich leh! Can buy you branded goods! Whatever you want he can buy for you leh!!!!!

mich: ok lor, then short one.

angel: *smsing*

bel: But the short one is ah beng how? With "M" fringe then got sharp comb and long wallet! Side burn also very long! BUT he is VERY VERY VERY RICH.

mich: Huh! ..... Then tall one.

angel: *smsing*

bel: What if the short guy is Singapore's top 3 richest guy. Then he can buy you a yatcht leh! Then your birthday can celebrate on the yatcht.

mich: Then short one la..

angel: *smsing*

bel: But he AH BENG leh, then he name the yatcht, MUN & BENG!

angel: HAHA.. GUCCI BOY AND GUCCI GIRL

bel: GUCCI BENG AND LV GIRL! Then he play TECHNO, CRAZY BABY on your birthday, cause he ah beng! HAHAHAHA.

mich: -_-"""" I think still the short one!

and it continues... (The conversation above is based on my memory, not entirely accurate.)

Temp Job

Started my 1 month temporary job as admin assistant at IBM located at Changi Business Park, a week ago.

Work didn't started off really well. I wore jeans on the first day and was sent back home, what infuriated me is she didn't told me earlier and waited for me to start working for like an hour or so then told me that my dress code was unacceptable, trying to cheat me of a few miserable bucks is it! Last friday, i even overslept and lied that i had some family matter to take care of and took half day and return to work after lunch break.

Travelling is relatively unconvenient and tedious. I have to take a bus to Bedok interchange and then a train to Tanah Merah (just ONE stop away) and make a transit to another train (yet another ONE stop) to Expo. So if any of you are feeling lonely after 530pm, CALL ME. Haha, let me entertain you while i travel home.

Work is pretty mudane and it makes me sleepy. Among the unhappy events that falls on me, i'm blessed with nice colleagues who are patient to guide me along. :)

Its getting late, i should get going, else tomorrow i'm gonna report my dog got into a fight and needed me before lunch time!

Day out with LILY LIU

Met up with LILY LIU last week, we went over to Bugis and have our dinner. He was craving for LOCAL food as he had been in Taiwan for 3 weeks for a course. We had Wanton Mee, Chicken Rice and Seafood Soup!

Feeling rather full, we decided to walk to Suntec instead of taking a train, its quite near anyway. We then strolled aimlessly from Suntec to Marina Square to Esplanade and even to One Fullerton.

So after hours of walking, we decided to head down to East Coast for a drink.

Here comes the infuriating part, we tried to flag for a cab along the roadside at One Fullerton, none stop even though the cab was for hire, maybe it was the double-yellow line we thought to ourselves. So we walked all the way back to Esplanade Taxi Stand for cabs and guess what! NO CAB CAME INSIDE THE TAXI STAND, even there were cabs coming in, all they do is let the passengers alight and just drove away, refusing the long queue of people who were waiting for cabs, RIDICULOUS! TELL ME WHATS THE TAXI STAND FOR THEN? Many of them left the queue and called for cabs instead.

So the TOO MUCH FREE TIME us wanting to try our luck, walked all the way back to Suntec's Taxi Stand, the one outside convention centre and waited for cab. HISTORY repeated itself. Learning from our folly mistake, LILY LIU finally called for cab!

After a whole nearly 1 hour of cab wating, we finally got what we want, A CAB! Whats up with taxi stand lately? Maybe it is haunted with a evil spirit and whoever picks up a passenger from the taxi stand shall be cursed, seriously i can't think of better reasons.

Upon reaching East Coast, we went straight to BVD and chilled.

We had some drinks over there and LILY LIU taught me some fist guessing game which he had learnt from his friends at Taiwan and we played dai dee. He played a couple of games of pool and we left BVD to MacDonald's for late supper!

Finally, after a satisfying supper, we went home! :)

Eunice's BIG DAY!

HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY, EUNICE LUM !

***
Saturday (29.04):

She held her birthday celebration at her house and we had buffet for dinner, the food was great!

It was particularly great catching up with the ladies, Rachel, Hazel and Eunice. Seen Eunice's and Rachel's boyfriend, Han and Kenneth (we called him Handsome) respectively for the very first time, they were really sweet and nice guys. PLEASE BE HAPPY :) !

After the dinner, Michelle, Angel and me headed down to Cineleisure for movie, When A Stranger Calls. The plot of the movie ain't that great as i expected, but the movie did an excellent job in scaring us a couple of times!

In a remote hilltop house, high school student JILL JOHNSON (Camilla Belle) settles in for a routine night of babysitting. With the children sound asleep and a beautiful home to explore, she locks the door and sets the alarm. But when a series of eerie phone calls from a STRANGER insists that she “check the children,” Jill begins to panic. Fear escalates to terror when she has the calls traced and learns that the calls are coming from inside the house. Jill must summon all of her inner strength if she is going to fight back and make it out of the house alive.

After the movie, we went to MOS burger to have a light supper and the usual chatting session and left for home.

It was a GREAT day!

Daddy's Birthday Celebration

Last Sunday, my whole family headed out to somewhere in the East to have TIAN WAI TIAN CAO ZHOU YU TOU LU.

It had been sometimes since our whole family went out together to have dinner, either i'm lazy or it would be my brother who is lazy to move our ass off our house. Since it's my dearest daddy's birthday, i have to give face right, let him happy! Haha.

It used to be somewhere near a fire station and it had shifted to an industrial building, wierd isn't it? Anyway, it was located at the top of the building.

The food is really nice and i had no complains about it, especially the fish head soup, damn tasty can! LOVE IT.

13th - 15th April

Thursday:

Went out with Darren and caught The Producers at The Cathay! I really enjoyed the movie, its a musical comedy carried out on the big screen. Love it! :)

The movie classic that became a Broadway sensation now becomes a movie musical event.

Mel Brooks is bringing The Producers, one of the most honored musicals in the history of the American theater, to the motion picture screen as a sparkling, feature-length musical comedy. The record-breaking Tony Award-winning hit (based on Mel Brooks’ seminal 1968 motion picture comedy) received 15 nominations and won a record-breaking 12 awards, including Best Musical, Best Director and Choreographer, and Best Actor.

Two-time Tony Award winners Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick return to their celebrated roles as Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom, a scheming theatrical producer and his mousy CPA who hit upon the perfect plan to embezzle a fortune: raise far more money than you need to producer a sure-fire Broadway flop and then (since no one will expect anything back), Max and Leo can pocket the difference. To do this, they need the ultimate bad play, which they find in the musical Springtime for Hitler. Their plans come to naught and the duo are taken completely by surprise when their new production is hailed as a toast-of-the-town hit. Uma Thurman stars as Ulla, the Swedish secretary/slash/ receptionist and would-be showgirl, and Will Farrell brings his spot-on comic talents to the role of Franz Liebkind, the neo-Nazi playwright (and pigeon fancier) responsible for penning the "worst play ever written."

9+pm:

Supper at Burger King.

He had WHOPPER.
Bel had Salsa Chicken Burger.

Friday:

Fion and me headed down to East Coast Long Beach to have our dinner. We ordered the Value Set Meal for 2 person, $88. Shall let the pictures do the talking.

Ok, i know its SIAO, there is so much pictures of MYSELF! Blame that girl, she is using me to forget her hunger and kill her time can! Haha. Thats why you can see me yawning in the last photo, took too much photos of and i'm tired already even before my dinner starts! YAWNZZZZZZZ

There is dessert after all the main course. The dessert is fixed and we can't change it, its actually longan with almond jelly!

EEK! I hate almond jelly, they are SMELLY. So we ordered Sweet Yam Lotus Paste with Bai Guo (known as ORH NI), I like that!

Overall, i really enjoyed the dinner. I like the Drunken Prawn, its fresh and juicy and the Black Pepper Crab tasted like heaven! I'm undeniable a SEAFOOD LOVER! :)

Total bill added up to $105.48, totally worth back the price for such as a sumptuous dinner!

Next restuarant i wanna try, located at East Coast just beside Long Beach! :D

After dinner, we headed down to Town, that girl needed to get herself a bag for work purpose. So we went to Agnes B, she got herself a bag while i get myself a top! I bought another top at TopShop too. SIGH, my bank is depleting and i still have no source of income yet!

Caught the movie Fire Wall, the movie plot ain't as fantastic as i thought, but it was ok overall.

Computer security specialist Jack Stanfield (HARRISON FORD) works for the Seattle-based Landrock Pacific Bank. A trusted top-ranking executive, he has built his career and reputation on designing the most effective anti-theft computer systems in the industry, protecting the bank’s financial holdings from the constant threat of increasingly sophisticated Internet hackers with his complex network of tracers, access codes and firewalls.

Jack’s position affords a comfortable life for him, his architect wife Beth (VIRGINIA MADSEN) and their two young children – a standard of living that includes a beautiful home in an ocean-front community outside the city.

But there’s a vulnerability in Jack’s system that he has not accounted for: himself. It’s a vulnerability that one very ruthless and resourceful thief is poised to exploit.

Saturday:

Met up with Michelle in the evening and headed down to Town, YES town AGAIN. Did a little shopping and went over to Far East to look for Angel and waited for her to end her work.

10+pm:

Supper at MOS burger.

Angel had Fish Burger Meal.

Michelle had Fish Burger Meal too.

Bel had Ice Milk Tea and their fries.

12+am:

Take the lead.

The pulsing rhythm of hip hop meets the elegant sophistication of ballroom dance in TAKE THE LEAD, an edgy inner-city dance drama that follows the true story of a competitive ballroom dance teacher, Pierre Dulaine (Antonio Banderas) who leaves the wealth and privilege of New York City’s upper eastside to teach in a gritty, gang-infested high school in one of the city’s poorest neighbourhoods.

All i have to say is that Antonio Banderas is HOT! :)
